Environmental Health
The environmental division permits and inspects household sewage treatment systems, private water wells, food service operations, public pools, campgrounds, and manufactured home parks. Septic and well permits are issued by the Health District, not by Building & Development Services — a new dwelling on a private system needs permits from both offices. Site evaluations for new septic systems are scheduled within ten business days of application.
Nursing Division
Immunization clinics are held each Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM, walk-in. The division also provides communicable disease investigation, BCMH service coordination, and seasonal flu clinics at township locations each October.
Vital Statistics
Certified birth and death certificates for events occurring anywhere in Ohio are available at the counter for $25.00 each (cash or check). Genealogy searches are handled by appointment.
