Questions concerning a specific bid should be directed to the department listed, or to the Commissioners’ Clerk, Janet Whipple, (740) 555-4601.
Bid Guaranty
Except as otherwise stated in the invitation to bid, each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of a bond, certified check, cashier’s check, or irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, payable to the Board of Clairmont County Commissioners, as security that the bidder will enter into a contract and furnish the required performance and payment bond if awarded the contract.
Prevailing Wage
Public improvement contracts subject to Ohio’s prevailing wage law (ORC Chapter 4115) are so noted in the bidding documents. Contractors and subcontractors on such projects must pay not less than the prevailing rates of wage determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce for the applicable trades and must file certified payroll reports as required.
Equal Employment Opportunity
Clairmont County does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability in the award and administration of contracts. Bidders on county contracts are required to comply with all applicable federal and state equal employment opportunity requirements.
The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in bidding as permitted by law.
