Position Summary
The County Engineer's office is hiring two seasonal Mowing Operators to mow and maintain rights-of-way along county roads from approximately April through October.
Essential Duties
- Operates tractor-mounted and boom mowers along county road rights-of-way.
- Performs routine equipment inspections and minor maintenance.
- Clears brush, debris, and downed limbs from roadside ditches as directed.
- Follows all traffic control and safety procedures while working roadside.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required.
- Prior experience operating mowing or farm equipment preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work outdoors in seasonal weather conditions.
- Background check and pre-employment drug screen required.
