Position Summary
The County Dog Warden is hiring a part-time Deputy Dog Warden to respond to animal complaints, enforce the county dog license law, and assist with care of animals at the county shelter.
Essential Duties
- Responds to complaints regarding stray, loose, or dangerous dogs.
- Enforces county dog licensing requirements and issues citations as needed.
- Assists with feeding, cleaning, and basic care of animals at the shelter, 4211 Fairground Rd.
- Transports animals to veterinary appointments as needed.
- Maintains accurate impoundment and licensing records.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required.
- Comfort handling animals of varying temperament; training provided.
- Must pass a background check.
- Availability for occasional weekend and evening call-outs.
