Position Summary
Reviews one-, two-, and three-family construction documents for compliance with the Residential Code of Ohio; assists at the permit counter.
Essential Duties
- Reviews residential building plans and specifications for code compliance prior to permit issuance.
- Assists applicants at the permit counter with plan submittal requirements.
- Coordinates with building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical inspectors on plan review comments.
- Maintains plan review records in the permit tracking system.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ohio BBS Residential Plans Examiner certification, or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Working knowledge of the Residential Code of Ohio preferred.
