Sheriff Hutchins announces citizens academy
Sheriff Dale R. Hutchins has announced a Sheriff's Citizens Academy beginning in April 2026, a free ten-week evening program introducing residents to patrol operations, the county jail, dispatch, and criminal investigations. Enrollment is limited to 20 participants and open to county residents 18 and older who pass a basic background check.
Classes meet Thursday evenings at the Sheriff's Office training room. Applications are available at the Sheriff's Office, 100 Public Square, or by calling (740) 555-4670. The application deadline is March 27, 2026.
