EMA outdoor warning siren testing to resume in March
Emergency Management Agency Director Scott Perdue announced that monthly testing of the county's outdoor warning sirens will resume Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM, after the winter testing pause. Testing will continue on the first Saturday of each month through November.
Residents who do not hear a siren clearly audible from their property are asked to note the location and call the EMA office at (740) 555-4675 so the system can be checked. Sirens are intended to alert people outdoors and are not a substitute for a NOAA weather radio.
