Notice of Annexation Petition: Village of Averill
Notice is hereby given that a petition has been filed with the Board of Clairmont County Commissioners for the annexation of approximately 38.6 acres located in Pleasant Township to the Village of Averill, pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Chapter 709. The territory proposed for annexation lies generally along the west side of State Route 219 and is more particularly described in the petition on file with the Clerk.
A public hearing on the petition will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 9:00 AM in the Commissioners' Hearing Room, 100 Public Square, Marbury, Ohio, before the Board of County Commissioners sitting as the annexing authority. Persons owning property in the territory, or otherwise entitled to be heard under ORC 709.031, may appear at the hearing or file written objections with the Clerk prior to that date.
The petition and accompanying map are available for public inspection at the office of the Commissioners' Clerk during regular business hours.
